Prof. Dr. RAMESH THAKUR, geb. 1948, ist Vizerektor der Universität der Vereinten Nationen (UNU) in Tokio. Innerhalb des UNSystems bekleidet er den Rang eines Assistant Secretary- General. Sein Buch „The United Nations and the Changing Peace and Security Agenda“ erscheint demnächst bei Cambridge University Press.
